Time Parallelization Schemes for Nonlinear Problems

Abstract: Parallel computing models for partial differential equations are usually given over the space domain. However, this parallelization may also be extended to the time domain, allowing the time-space dimensions to be treated concurrently by different processors. Based on the idea of Predictor-Corrector methods where the corrector runs in parallel, we will explore novel convergent schemes for the time parallelization of non-linear systems. Numerical results on our in-house simulator for porous media will be presented.
