International Workshop on Recent Advances in Scientific Computing

Efficient numerical modeling of complex systems ranging from cellular reaction networks or biological membranes to networks of fault zones or ice shelf/ice shelf systems require the interplay of statistical mechanics, effective dynamics and continuum mechanics with geometrical, nonsmooth and stochastic pdes. This workshop is intended to foster the intradisciplinary exchange of perspectives and ideas in these areas by plenary presentations, intergroup developments, and informal discussions.
