A nonconforming finite element method for the time-harmonic Maxwell equations

Abstract: In this talk I will present a new discretization of the time-harmonic Maxwell equations that is based on the Crouzeix-Raviart nonconforming P1 vector fields. This method has optimal convergence rates in both the energy norm and the L2 norm on graded meshes. Both theoretical and numerical results will be discussed.
