Oberseminar Numerical Mathematics / Scientific Computing
We consider elliptic problems with with non-constant possibly degenerating coefficients representing material properties and provide models for inclusions and cracks. The material properties as well as the geometry of material inclusions are taken as controls. The resulting shape, topology and material optimization problems are described and analyzed. We also provide some numerical evidence in special contexts of applications.
